You will be staying at Casa Alborada Yoga Retreat, which is set in two and a half acres of organic gardens, nestles in a quiet valley and is a few minutes walk from the Rio Grande river. July 2005
July 5 - 12, 2005 7 Day Yoga Retreat with Odelia
The retreat schedule includes guided pranayama and asana practice with an emphasis on flow, grounding and inner alignment, as well as meditation, periods of silence and shared exploration. Odelia approaches asana practice using the vital principles identified by Dona Holleman and Orit Sen Gupta (see their book Dancing the Body of Light) as a way to find one’s “perfect pose” from within, by harnessing the force of gravity and surrounding space through one’s own subtle awareness.
The combination of these traditional yoga practices with silence supports a deeper understanding of the mind/body connection and inspiration for one’s personal practice and inner growth. Beginner and experienced practitioners are welcome.
Odelia has studied yoga with a variety of teachers, but she owes her main inspiration to Orit Sen Gupta, with whom she received her training in a three year program in Israel completed in 2001. Since then Odelia has been based in India, where she teaches yoga and meditation retreats with OpenDharma (see www.opendharma.org) as well as dharma retreats with Christopher Titmuss in India and Israel.
Prices range from ₤280 to ₤455. Please contact us at info@casaalborada.com for bookings and information.
