About Us

This comfortable and charming guesthouse was previously owned by the Duke of Coín. For over a 100 years there has been a tradition of welcoming guests to stay and rest a while.

Nestled in the valley of Azahar close to Coin in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain, our spacious finca (farmhouse) spans over two acres of land bursting with organic produce, including an abundance of avocado and citrus trees. Spend the day soaking up the views of the surrounding valley and rolling hills, or take the five-minute stroll through the Eucalyptus grove to the Rio Grande river to catch a glimpse of our resident sunbathing turtles.

Throughout the day we encourage you to relax and unwind at Casa Alborada by participating in a gentle yoga class, or booking in a massage. If you’re looking for sunshine, you can rest assured that Southern Spain has an average of 35 degrees from June to September, and a 20 degree average from October to May with clear beautiful sunny winter days.

Our guest house is also ideally situated for daily excursions. The Mediterranean coast is only 40min away along with centuries of history, which you can explore in Malaga, Granada and the stunning Alhambra. There are number of hiking and walking trails, over 50 golf courses, and is a bird watchers paradise. So feel free to explore on foot or by bike and you’ll discover the breathtaking countryside of Andalucia.

But before you start your daily adventures, let us help inspire your day with a continental breakfast (all our meals are vegetarian) including freshly squeezed juices, a variety of local fruit and seasonal harvest from our own garden. At the end of your day, enjoy a delicious dinner in our spacious outdoor dinning table and savour the sunset, go on live like a Duke! Lunch and dinner are available at an additional fee.

Presently Casa Alborada is owned by Chris Irving & Nicole Allen, who are experienced in customer service and alternative therapies and will ensure your stay exceeds your expectations. You’ll receive a warm welcome, quality and comfort when you stay at Casa Alborada.
